The ceremony was held in the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal chapel located in the Luis Vernaza Hospital where protection from the Holy Virgin Mary for La Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil was beseeched.

Mass was conducted by the Dominican priest and alternate chaplain from the Luis Vernaza Hospital, namely, Jose Carlos Tuarez.

Besides, Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil authorities, executive Directors, Heads of Service, Departmental Chiefs and Administrative Personnel from the Luis Vernaza Hospital were in attendance.
