Minister of Education visited la Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil

Minister of EducationThe first encounter took place in the Guayaquil Institution's main offices where Junta officials informed the Minister through an institutional video as to the social work performed in the different areas of concentration: health, education, protection for young girls, senior citizens and cemeteries.

Later on they headed to the José Domingo de Santistevan Educational Unit where he was received by a court of honor made up of students and school authorities directed by La Junta de Beneficencia.

The Minister exalted shared values such as solidarity and volunteer work, namely a commitment to care for your fellow man. “These are values found in a society which is distorted by other types of activities and commitments and therefore finding them is additionally motivating”, he pointed out during the meeting.

Furthermore he said the meeting had been gratifying. “This is a pleasent meeting in which activities can be jointly coordinated and planned to create commitments among key players within the educational system”, as he pointed out.

At the end of the tour through the Educational Unit installations, Eng. Luis Trujillo Bustamante, a member of the Institution and Inspector for the Educational Center, showed a video which summarized activities, academic and sporting achievements as well as those pertaining to social responsibility which have attained a national and International level.

He also reminded the Minister as to the goals shared by both Junta de Beneficencia Educational Units that is Santa Luisa de Marillac and Jose Domingo de Santistevan, namely the quality of education and solidarity with the student who is graduating so he can be competitive.

Finally, The Minister of Education expressed gratitude for the reception and stressed the importance the educational accompaniment awarded by the Educational Unit he visited to the students and consequently the success experienced by those who receive it.
