During interviews with El Universo and Expreso newspapers last April 13th and 14th respectively Eng. Ernesto Noboa, Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil Director, spoke about the problems affecting the Institution from health-attention to non-payment, specially from patients derived from Social Security.

The debt Between Social Security and Public Health Ministry which comes to 114 million dollars, out of which 72 correspond to attention given at all four Junta Hospitals through social security and the 42 remaining in the public Health Ministry was singled out by Junta Director as having complied with auditing procedures, being more up-to-date.
