La Junta de Beneficencia continues to deliver technical support

web2La Junta de Beneficiencia de Guayaquil (JBG) delivered 12 wheelchairs to the “Metrovia System” that is the Guayaquil Massive Urban Transportation System to be distributed in four of its terminals.

ndowment of this mobility implement will be useful for adult, handicapped persons who use this form of public transportation.

Leopoldo Falquez, General Manager of the Metrovia Foundation pointed out that this donation will be useful in serving users in a better way. “These wheelchairs will allow us to give better support to disabled persons who experience difficulties within Foundation terminals”, he pointed out.

On the other hand, in the Junta Logistic and distribution warehouse technical aid was delivered to 65 persons with different medical diagnosis which limit their mobility, among them: hip fracture, Parkinson’s disease, Lymphedema in lower limbs, knee Arthrosis, Encephalomyelitis, Difficulty in walking, Amputations of lower limbs, Biffine Spine, Diabetes, Alzheimer, Blindness and Cerebral vascular accident.

The donation consisted in delivery of 5 mechanically propelled cars, 10 walkers, 10 pairs of crutches, 4 walking sticks. 1 cervical collar, one gel pillow and 34 walking sticks for the blind.

Both deliveries were performed with the help of international Organisms such as Free Wheelchair Mission and the Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints.

With this activity la Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil continues to support those citizens most in need through public and private institutions but also directly to help disabled persons who request a mobility implement to improve their quality of life.
