Junta de Beneficencia donates qualitative tests to communities of the Alausí canton

Como aporte a la prevención y detección de casos Covid 19, la Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil, donó un total de 500 pruebas cualitativas para beneficiar gratuitamente a igual número de personas de las diferentes comunidades de Alausí, cantón donde la institución brinda asistencia social y de formación a niñas de escasos recursos económicos a través del Hogar Manuel Galecio.

As a contribution to the prevention and detection of Covid - 19 cases, Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil donated 500 qualitative tests, to benefit the same number of people from the different communities of Alausí, where it provides social and health care assistance in Manuel Galecio Girls’ Home from low-income families.


The elderly of the Residential Center of the Municipality of Alausí received 100 tests; and the rest will be given to the residents of other rural communities. Similarly, for safety and prevention, Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil performes qualitative tests every 15 days on all the Manuel Galecio Home staff, including the 96 scholarship holders it houses; as well as the family members who visit them, complying with the strict biosafety regulations implemented, such as taking temperature, disinfection of footwear, placing alcohol and sufficient distance to avoid contact with the girls.


With a strict security control Luis Vernaza Hospital was part of the 0 phase of vaccination, done by the Ministry of Public Health. It included the hospital's first line of care staff. Furthermore, 42 residents were vaccinated at Corazón de Jesús Elderly Home.
