The Security and Occupational Health Fair is organized by the Central Office Integral Safety Unit for the second year in a row to the benefit of La Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil collaborators.
The event took place on the third floor of the Saenz building with eight participating stands, among them the Benedicto XVI Medical Center, Los Andes Optics, BASSA Laboratories, Veseind fire fighting equipment, Social Work from Central Office, Sanofi Pasteur, Active Pauses and in itinere accidents.
“Each stand corresponds to some collaborator's need”, as pointed out by Doctor Mario Santana Alava, Labor Physician from Central Office.
Santana mentions that among the most frequent labor-related accidents are those referred to as in itinere, that is, those which occur when the worker goes from his home to the workplace and viceversa, whereby he recomends being constantly alert to possible hazards on the public highway, specially at wintertime.
