As part of a collective and well coordinated work effort, la Junta de Beneficencia received a visit from Enrique Falabella, Robert B. Smith, Moroni Torres and Sharon Eubank, all representatives of the Northeast South American area; and the welfare director on a world scale of the Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints, respectively.

The North American Organization representatives were received by la Junta Deputy Directors Eng. Luis Trujillo and Eng. Carlos Andrade and they mentioned wheelchair and implements' donations as well as training, namely ophthalmological with laser and neo-natal revival performed at the Luis Vernaza Hospital and the Alfredo Paulson Women's Hospital as well as the Roberto Gilbert E. Children's Hospital.

During the encounter two wheelchairs, a walking stick for the blind and a walker were delivered to four beneficiaries who were thankful for this noble initiative from both Institutions on behalf of people with mobility problems. “My family and I are very grateful to those who made the wheelchair delivery possible”, as Alberto Briones Rodriguez, who lost both legs due to diabetes five years ago, pointed out.
