Within the framework of activities related to Occupational World Safety and Health Day to be celebrated tomorrow, the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil Integral Safety Unit, in collaboration with the ECU 911 Integral Safety Unit gave a talk called “The Benefit of an opportune evacuation”
Richard Hernandez, a specialist in occupational safety health from, ECU 911 pointed out during his intervention that improvisation cannot take place during adverse events because this can cost a person´s life “The key is to be informed; to know what to do, be aware of evacuation routes, safe places, meeting places, the tools and procedures the Institution provides in matters of safety”, he said.
This criteria is shared with Eng. Marzolini Miranda, chief of Central Office Integral Security who points out that, at the moment, close to 80% of collaborators from Central Office follows this prevention culture which seeks to be implemented throughout the Institution. “We want everyone to be conscious of the responsibility of being aware of adequate safety matters to be applied whenever an emergency arises, be this at work or at home” he pointed out.
During the week the dining room was equipped with signs related to Occupational Safety for greater knowledge and familiarization with them.
