Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil, together with the "Volunteers of The de Santa Cruz Foundation", VOSH from Canada executed the IV Visual Campaign to the benefit of those persons of scarce economic means.
Beneficiaries, children and adults were outpatients of all four Junta Hospitals as well as, scholarship holders from the Calderon Ayluardo Home, residents of the Corazon de Jesus Home and Social Aid entities such as the Society to Protect Infants, the Ladies´ Charity Society. The Sunflower Foundation and communities such as Duran, Samborondon, Martha de Roldos, Mapasingue and the Trinitaria Island.
For better attention 6 cubicles were placed where professional ophthalmologists and optometrists evaluated the health and visual condition of patients. Besides, they were given reading glasses or prescription glasses according to their diagnosis.
VOSH is a non-profit organization, composed of a group of lay volunteers who work on humanitarian projects with catholic priests from Santa Cruz on World Missions.
