Thanks to the international cooperation of organizations such as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Free Wheelchair Mission and Mobility Worldwide, Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil was able to donate 25 mobility aids that benefited people with limited economic resources, including children, adults and elderly from different parts of the Guayas Province.

María Sangotuña, one of the beneficiaries, came from El Triunfo to pick - up the wheelchair which according to Angélica Morocho, her daughter, will serve to mobilize her to receive hemodialysis she needs due to her kidney failure.

Virgilio Reyes, another of the beneficiaries, received a mechanically powered car that will allow him to move around. "I am very grateful to this cart that they have given me, it will help me to start a business," he said.

Last year this continuous program of delivery of mobility implements allowed improving the mobility and productivity of 1,373 people with limited economic resources throughout the country, most of whom suffer from severe, irreversible, degenerative diseases and with high levels of disability.
