Walter Villon suffered a fracture in his cervical vertebra C5, 36 years ago in a ship
accident. Today, together with 56 other persons with different mobility problems,
he arrived at the Junta de Beneficencia donations warehouse to receive, free-ofcharge the mobility implement he so badly needs. “My chair needed a change and
the Junta has made that possible” he refers and points out that there are
Institutions which come together to perform this beneficial work.
This delivery came about thanks to a three way alliance between la Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil, The Jesus Crist Church of Latter Day Saints, Mobility Worldwide and consisted of 25 wheelchairs, 2 self-propelled mechanical cars for the blind, 4 walkers and 6 metallic, single pointed walking sticks.
During the year 2019 the free mobility implements delivery program of la Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil has improved the mobility of 1.045 persons throughout the country.
